Cost Efficient Products For Organizing Kitchens and Bathrooms

Kitchens and bathrooms accumulate a lot of stuff; from dishes to makeup products, it can be difficult to figure out how you are going to organize everything. We spend a lot of our time in both of these places, and having a cluttered space can make going into these rooms unpleasant. When you walk into your kitchen or bathroom it should feel clean and organized, and moving things off of counters will reduce the risk of spills or messes.

However, with all of the products available out there, it can be difficult to know which ones are right for you. Organization products are storage solutions and containers that will help you sort and maintain order in your space. When you are choosing these products, you want to balance aesthetics and functionality in a way that will look cohesive but also clean up the room for you.

Here are some tips on finding organizational products that are cost-efficient, practical, and pretty.

Kitchens are full of supplies, and even though you have drawers and cabinets it can be hard to keep the contents of these organized. Drawer organizers are a great way to make things more accessible, so you don’t have to worry about searching for a spoon amongst all of the silverware. You can find drawer organizers made of all kinds of materials, from wood to plastic, so you can choose what fits with the rest of your kitchen and your budget.

If you are having trouble fitting all of your dishes into the cabinets, consider using cabinet racks. This will give you more flat surfaces so you don’t have to stack as many bowls on top of each other and risk breaking something. Cabinet stackers made of acrylic are easy to clean and go with most kitchens, however, metal is a cheaper option and more durable.

Under the Sink

Whether it is in the bathroom or the kitchen, the bottom of your sink is probably filled with cleaning supplies and other miscellaneous items. Cabinets under the sink tend to be one of the more difficult places to organize, but the clutter can make it hard to find what you need. A sink cabinet that is not organized can also make it difficult for a plumber to get their work done, and it takes longer to remove everything for them. One of the best options for organizing this area is plastic bins.

Plastic bins will be durable and easy enough to clean in case of any leaks and will allow you to store products by what type they are. This way you can have a bin for washing dishes, cleaning products, makeup, and whatever else you are storing down there.

Refrigerator/Freezer

A refrigerator is one of the easiest places to let clutter take over, especially if you struggle to find a home for all of the food items you and your family need. Like under the sink, plastic is going to be your best material option for the refrigerator. By placing items like yogurts, vegetables, drinks, and anything else that is not flat, you create space to stack other items. This can also be a good option for the freezer, which usually has a lot of foods that aren’t in stackable boxes.

Whether you live alone, with roommates, or with your family, the bathroom is probably one of the rooms with the most items. Cosmetic items come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, which makes storing them very difficult. To declutter your drawers and closet you can use plastic boxes. For larger items like hair tools, baskets without a lid can be stacked on top of other containers to utilize the space efficiently. When choosing products you want to pick a material that is easily cleaned, so plastic is a great option that is also inexpensive.

For baskets and any other organizational containers that are not going to break the bank, you can check your local thrift stores. Using second-hand items that are in good condition is a great way to save money while getting organized.
